Delete your account

Permanently delete your WEM Life account and your personal data.

What we delete

Your profile: name, email address, phone number and photo
Your ID and driving licence documents
Your community profile and chat messages, your favourites and carts
Your notifications, your referral code and personal promo codes
Vehicles you list as a private owner are taken offline and archived

What we keep, and why

Some records must be kept by law. Where the law allows, we remove your name and contact details from them.

Bookings, orders, payments and payouts, anonymised: tax and accounting law requires us to keep them (Germany 6 to 10 years, Thailand 5 years).
Invoices and credit notes, unchanged: an issued invoice may not be altered, so the name on it stays until the retention period ends.
Unlock logs and inspection photos of past rentals: evidence for damage and deposit disputes.
Closed emergency cases (without your name) and security logs.

These records are deleted when their retention period ends.

Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. You can sign up again with the same email address later, but you start with an empty account.
